WGVBA is EXCITED to announce our tryout process for the 2024-2025 session! Please visit https://wintergardenvba.org/?page_id=484 to pre-register. Please note, you must pre-register in order to attend our tryout sessions.
Tryouts for WGVBA Uvalde Travel Teams will take place on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at La Forge Gym, SWTJC, Uvalde Texas. A make-up tryout session will also be held at La Forge Gym on Sunday, November 17, 2024. You may pay your $25 nonrefundable tryout registration fee online here or on the date of tryouts.
Saturday November 16 tryout schedule:
- 2:00pm-3:30pm 4th – 6th grade
- 4:00pm-5:30pm 7th – 8th grade
- 6:00pm-8:00pm 9th – 10th grade
Sunday November 17 makeup schedule:
- 1:00pm-3:00pm 4th – 7th grade
- 3:00pm-5:00pm 8th – 10th grade
The following rules have been implemented for our use of the SWTJC gym:
- Only players and coaches are allowed into the gym; parents, guardians, siblings, or other family members may not enter the gym for any reason
- Drop/off and pick/up must be in accordance with the School Police Officer directing our access
- No parking at any time in fire lanes
- The gym must be cleaned after every session; all athletes must participate in this process
- The gym doors will remain closed at all times. If coaches and staff are not monitoring the door or responding to phone calls/texts, you may miss your opportunity to participate. This is not a punishment for arriving late, but rather it is a part of a district wide safety protocol
- Athletes must bring their own water bottles with them and dispose of them when they are finished. No water will be provided by the school or WGVBA. Athletes do not have permission to take any waters stored by the school
- Athletes must stay confined to the gym. No athlete is permitted to access any other part of the campus.
We must all cooperate to ensure we can continue the privileges of using the college facilities!
