WGVBA All Teams Scrimmages

To prepare for the upcoming season and to give all our teams a taste of what competitions will look like, we will be scheduling all of our teams from Carrizo and Uvalde to a set of special practices and scrimmages on Sunday December 19th at our Carrizo Location. All teams will be provided a schedule and should arrive at least 30 minutes before their first game or first referee assignment. The scrimmages will start around 2pm and last until about 9pm giving all of our teams an opportunity for several matches against various competition. We’re looking forward to this event!!

All Tryouts Have Concluded

All travel team rosters spots have been accepted, and all notices of tryout results have been emailed. If you have not received your results, please feel free to contact us. Thanks to all who attended our tryouts!

DECEMBER DUES ARE NOW DUE!

These dues cover the costs to compete MINUS tournament entry fees. Each team has received a list of available tournaments, and must select their choices and collect the entry fee to be submitted by the deadline. This new policy is meant to address nonpayment of dues by athletes who continued to participate in tournaments as parents will now determine who may travel based on who has contributed to the tournament entry fees. We estimate each individual monthly tournament fee to be roughly $25 to $30.

The dues for Uvalde are slightly higher than dues for Carrizo due to the start-up costs of purchasing necessary practice and travel equipment. Each location’s dues are based on the costs for that location’s program.

  • Carrizo Annual Dues: $305
  • Uvalde Annual Dues: $335

We will continue to offer a 5-month payment installment plan from December to April, and we encourage all our athletes to continue to seek family or business sponsorships. We also encourage teams to continue to fundraise as in past years to generate enough to cover their full season’s dues.

CONGRATULATIONS!!

Congratulations to all those named to All-District Honors in District 30-4A and to their coaches!
